How does it affect the parking situation?

As we are making drivers aware of exact search-time of finding parking around their destination and show the optimal route to reduce this, it means a dramatic reduction in traffic-congestion (up to 30% of congestion stems from parking search-related traffic). By contrasting search-time of finding on-street parking, with distance to the nearest garage or off-street lot, the outcome for the city is less traffic-congestion and cars on the streets, At the same time, it means more cars in garages and off-street lots, since drivers are made aware of their existence at and around their destination.

How is it possible?

This exact question we are getting each and every time we meet a new city, and we understand, since many companies from various industries and sectors have tried to solve the same problem, but always failed. We are a bit different, since we have been working on this solution for several years and finally in 2016 we found the last piece of the puzzle, by acquiring Israeli company “Parko” who specializes in this exact field and has done so in more than 5 years.

It basically works by combining an empirical approach (“Google Cars”) and a statistical approach (10+ data sources). By combining these two methods, we can guide drivers around and show occupancy levels down to street-basis. What the specific data sources are and how we combine them is our “secret sauce”. However, we what we can say is that we are achieving similar levels of accuracy that your get by installing sensors, without ANY hardware installations.


In terms of the statistic validity of the data, we are only displaying statistically valid data in our interfaces. The data are the actual measured outcomes. In certain instances we are showing estimates, and if so these are always marked as estimates. During 2017 we are launching our FIND&PAY services in 30 cities across Europe.
